New Global Damage Codes imported into i-Tracks
Vehnet has imported the newly unveiled Global Vehicle Damage Codes into its industry leading information system, i-Tracks. According to Group Managing Director Steve Jones, this means Vehnet can deliver software to new customers with the latest standardized codes “out of the box” and ready for use.
The new Global Vehicle Damage Codes, unveiled by the independent industry bodies AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) in the US and ECG (European Car Transport Group), establish a standardised claim settlement and damage prevention process for dealers, manufacturers, vehicle logistics and vehicle inspection companies, and is endorsed by Odette International.
“The introduction of global standardized damage codes is a major step forward for the finished vehicle logistics industry,” Steve Jones comments. “We are delighted to have played our small part in initially bringing together the AIAG and the ECG on this issue, and extend our warm congratulations on their forward thinking achievement.”
He adds, “As a leading software supplier to this important industry, we were determined to incorporate the new global damage codes into our software as a high priority. We are delighted to announce that all new customers will benefit accordingly.”
