Advance Yard Visualiser - how it works
Incredibly easy to implement and use, the Advance Yard Visualiser allows you to:
• Draw your Yard to scale
• Link to current Yard inventory data
• View your Yard as a graphical image
Use with virtually any data source.
All the Visualiser software needs to transform your data is a unique item identity, such as a VIN number, and a yard location. Any other data required can be defined and added by the user –eg., ‘status’, ‘delivery destination’ or ‘number of days in storage’ – the Visualiser will automatically display the information you need as an accessible graphic image – instantly!
Adaptable to your needs
Whatever information you require in whichever format you prefer, the Advance Yard Visualiser is totally adaptable. As well as defining ‘status’, ‘delivery destination’ or ‘model’, you can also assign colours, such as green for new arrivals or red for cars on hold. You can also use this highly flexible tool to visualise vessel and train loading and discharge, or play through ‘what-if’ scenarios, even review and learn from historical data.
There is also a library of useful images, including containers, trucks, forklifts and more, enabling you to make information still more accessible.
Increased control
The system can be interrogated to provide quick - and visual - answers to your operational status queries, such as ‘how many items on hold’ or ‘how many vehicles awaiting customs clearance’. This , combined with programmable alerts to your screen or email, and easy generation of standard reports, delivers significantly increased operational control within the yard environment.
Shared information improves efficiency
Information from the Visualiser can be shared with other users too, inside or outside of your company. Here are just a few examples:
• Yard jockeys can locate cars for loading more quickly and can see the best route for picking
• Managers can identify potential space issues early and respond effectively
• Truck service providers can be shown in advance which vehicles are ready for picking and where they are located in the yard
• Inspectors can see cars ready for checking and can plan best route for planned maintenance
Advance Yard Visualiser is standard and scalable to multiple users and multiple sites. It can also be extended into Vehnet’s Advance Yard and/or Advance Workshop modules to provide richer functionality and deliver clear efficiency savings across wider business applications.
